Marcy Parks is a self-taught abstract expressionist artist creating large-scale, bold and feminine abstract paintings that inspire a spirit of freedom, play, and joy.
Each piece begins with a carefully curated color palette, but all plans are quickly set aside. Allowing her intuition and instinct to lead, Marcy uses her hands to apply paint directly to the canvas.
There are no corrections, no second-guessing, only presence. The resulting work feels organic and honest, like a candid photo of a person caught mid-laugh, or words spilling out that the mind didn’t have time to censor.
