On a recent June visit to Giverny, Liz had the opportunity to experience Monet’s House and Gardens. His Japanese-inspired sanctuary and the studio where he painted his legendary water lilies, now housed in the Musée de l’Orangerie in Paris.

As she moved through the garden’s living canopy, she found herself mesmerized not by the flowers, trees and water, but by the light filtering through the leaves above.

Shelby is a mixed media artist whose work focuses on time, specifically the time within motherhood. Soft, washed colors mixed with spunky, spicy marks represent an abstraction of life, a mother balancing it all. Repetition and routine are the grounding elements—woven throughout the compositions.

Marcy Parks is an abstract expressionist artist living with her family in Bristol, Tennessee. Early in her life, Marcy showed a passion for the arts. After graduating from King University with B.A. in English Literature, Marcy would later find her way back to her visual art practice, marrying her love for painting with her love for writing.

Anee is a scientist turned artist who left her decade long corporate job to pursue her creative path. The charm of an unhurried, simple life and the peace felt in expansive, abundant fields is the catalyst behind her work. Based in Boston but truly an old soul of the universe, Anee paints with oils using gestural brushstrokes with emphasis on creating texture and mood-evoking scenery.

Sarah is a textile artist based in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She combines her background of weaving, painting, and color theory to create work that celebrates the importance of play, as seen in both her process and aesthetic. Bound by the limits of the loom and materials, Sarah welcomes a heavy dose of improvisation to the rest of her practice.
