While my brain demands answers and explanations, we must learn to sit with the discomfort of unknowing in order to grow. The raw canvas shape represents my own uncomfortable unknowns; however, if we sit with it long enough, it becomes an accepted and essential part of our story. Louisa Dunn is a textile designer and mixed-media artist based in Charleston, South Carolina. Louisa has worked creating print and pattern for the interiors industry, product design, as well as developing her own creative practice through collage and teaching workshops. She teaches collage as a daily practice, an endless way the explore shape and color interactions through materials.
