DAVID KEEL

David Keel is a Chicago-based painter whose work has been exhibited in numerous solo and group shows throughout the United States. He studied painting, printmaking, and sculpture at the University of Kansas, primarily focusing on painting.

His work explores a complex reality through the ever-changing world of color, form, and line. In 2009, he founded Comfort Station, a still-running art and community space in Chicago's Logan Square neighborhood, where he currently lives. This experience helped shape his practice, providing insight into both the artist and curator perspectives.

His work has been shown at Vivid Art Gallery (Winnetka, Illinois), Laughlin Gallery (Highland Park, Illinois), Midnight Gallery (Cincinnati, Ohio), and New Buffalo Gallery (Michigan). His paintings are held in private collections nationwide. He is slated to exhibit at the 2025 SCOPE Art Fair in Miami during Art Basel.
