Alyson is an artist who celebrates the balance between movement and restraint through vibrant, abstract works. Starting with bold painterly strokes, she builds her pieces layer by layer, enjoying the spontaneity and tactile nature of paint.  She then skillfully obscures and reveals passages with graceful line work. These “peek-a-boo” moments reflect the beauty she finds in everyday life.

Influenced by her Southern upbringing, Alyson’s art features happy colors and a reverence for traditional forms. With over 15 years in the visual arts—including roles in museums, corporate consulting, graphic design, and commissioned painting—she brings a wealth of experience to her creations.

Outside of her art, Alyson is a dedicated “girl mom,” a University of Virginia graduate, and a lover of travel and laughter. Her work invites viewers to seek joy amidst refinement, and appreciate glimpses of beauty in unexpected places.
